Interesting Treble and Bass 100 Watt with Trem in a Metal Shell!Inputs over the controls… leads haningin front.. not sensible..Scokets for 4xEL34Nice big choke but output transformer a little small for 100 Watts me thinks…Massive cap is only 32uF 500 V and too too old…Output transformerFairly neat inside.. Good Earth Bus.. which someone has added too (probably to reduce hum in the output stage. Now all referenced to one point on the chassis nice..Preamp uses inductors in the filtering.. nice but expensive.Supply caps spread out a bit…2 screen resistors look a little fried but test good. Other two have been replacedOptical tremolo components floating around a bit..Supply wire has perished and gone all sticky…OK new supply caps in place. I used a spare hole for the new HT cap and upped it to 50uF either side of the chokeEmpty big vent holes where the original cap was… added a short tag strip for the two rectifier diodes (could have put a bridge in but these do the job)Caps viewed from the top next to the massive chioke!Sticky power lead replaced…New gromets on the power supply wireKettle lead adapter on the end of the mains leadBech testing and bias setup. Bias too hot needed the circuit moding and took a while to get the bass channel going!Variable bias pot installed and hot glue used to hold the neon/photo resistor to make them more stable, great sounding trem! All done. Bass channel rich the normall is very bright.. One of the coupling caps is only 500pF so not much bass getting through by design.. If I was using her un modded I would jump the two channelsMetal case back onAll good to go back to the customer!
