B.S.R.Ltd 1950 BM40 PA to Guitar Amp conversion As she came in Had to add 2x6L6GC type tubes notice the 2 EZ35 rectifier tubes Very tidy! electrolytics pretty aged though… Before remvng the microphone transformers Removing the 12V battery input and vibrrator curicts to make her mains only.. 1950 caps! 2 speaker sockets added rather than using connection posts Taking out the input sockets to replace with more conventional. 3 Jack inputs rather than bantam ones and inptu MIC transformers removed to enable guitars to be connected straight to her. 0.1 uF coupling cpas to the Power amplifier were leaking and needed replacing.. Up and running on the bench with new supply cpas and the signal level light is working! Thre greem light goes full on when the output is clipping 😉 sweet distortion for guitar! 2 smaller but actually larger value 22uF caps replaced the oild cap 16uF a few electrolytics shpould really bre replaced (parts on order) Nice tidy circuit! Progonal Schematic.. real one a bit different as it has an EF86 gain stage on the Gram input too.
