HH Performer One Hundred And Fifty Watt Musical Instrument Amplifier (catchy name).
Dirst time to work one of these amps and have not seen gut shots anywhere so thought these may be of use to others. Massive amp with Mosfet output devices. Seems rather large for the power it can provide and a bit bulky in design compared with their earlier amps which were pretty innovative. Seems styled a bit after Peavey amps of the time (similar knobs and power amp on rear panel preamp on front panel. Looking forward to hearing her but need a few replacement parts first.
- HH Perfromar 150 on top of an earlier HH VS Musician in for a fix too
- Simple 2 channel layout one channel with a compressor the other with “sustain”
- Space for an effects module
- Knobs look similar to the Peavey ones of the time (Peavey on right) but larger
- Rear Panel 4 power MOSFETS
- HH/HFN 8305
- HH/HFP 1583
- Neat preamp layout and wiring
- Cover over log slipped and looking at the date on the chassis this was mafe exaclty on my birthday! but 1983 not 62..
- Power amp… looks like it has got a little warm aroudn the supply regulator Zeners..
- Lot of outputs on the back
- Supply caps leaking,…
- Some work done (on the Zeners me thinks in 87
- One of the Zeners was short circuit,,, hance fuses blowing and not working..
- Caps have to go
- Strange HH went from Torroidal back to standard format transformers… a step backwards IMHO
- One wire has come off the footswitch connedtor
- Original Add
