Lovely Corvette most parts original though I think the pickguard has been replaced at some point these were normally black as far as I can tell. Also a few srews are not original especially around the truss rod cover
Great 2+4 headstock!
Tuners in great condition
Serial number? 80746?
Gretsch pickup 3K ohms.. bet it twangs some!
Problem area.. hole worn slightly too big…
Great Burns Tremolo
Pickguard removed
Wow this has seen some serious moisture at some time
Electronics tidied up and checked + lubed Pots work fine! even though rusted!
Wood glue around the socket cup from previous “repair”
Wood glue removed
Wood cleaned and mahogany veneer to narrow the hole
Soaking veneer to soften it
Checking the veneer will cause a tight fit with the cup
Jack socket holder now in -place and veneer glued in place with Titebond
All feels very “tight” leave 24 hours to harden
Srew holes filled to help sthe old screws grip the body

This guitar has a simple 3k pickup that sounds great! especially with a valve amp overdriven.. No isses with the jack and tone control working (makes a great wah sound) I I did not want to give this one back
After playing I noticed this screw is sharp and hurts the hand when muting the strings
A round head screw would be better
Now more comfortable (original screw bagged and in the guitar case)
Even love the case + artwork!

some marks on the fret board from previous (amatuer) dressing
Kill it Kid using the corvette live! Vintage Corvette (cannot read the serial number but these were made from 1964 through 1970 just feel this is an early one. Problem with the jack socket cup coming loose and the customer wants this to be used on tour so needs a strong solution but not an invasive one for a vintage instrument (if this was not valuable I would have drilled two holes in the cup and screwed it to the body…). Instead I built up the sides of the hole to make the cup a tight fit as intended. Also tone control was doing nothings so the electrics got a once over. Also filled screw holes in the body (most did not grip the scratchplate screws at all!). Rewired assembles and plays like a dream! Tone now working (all at the bottom end but can give a great Wah sound when rotated while playing! Did not want to give this one back!
